A warm welcome back to our FES Families! I hope this message finds you all well and enjoying these last few beautiful days of summer. The first day of our new school year is almost here!

I would like to start by sharing how excited I am to be the Interim Principal/Teacher for Francestown Elementary School! Only a few years ago, I was lucky enough to work at FES in my role as the Title I Project Manager/Reading Specialist and experience how wonderful it felt to be included in your community.

The essence of your school’s mission statement, to ensure that we foster the cooperative effort between school and community, says it all to me. Building strong family-school-community partnerships are the key to nurturing every child and providing each one with a sense of belonging, purpose and pride. How lucky these children are to live in such a caring community and I am proud to be part of it.

Our staff is excited to begin the new school year together and they have been planning and preparing in earnest! We will continue our efforts to provide students with engaging and enriching learning environments that bring them joy and allow them to thrive in the Francestown Elementary experience. I hope you will join me for the “Teacher and Principal Meet and Greet” on Wednesday, August 27, from 2:30-3:30pm! I am hoping to see everyone there so that I may introduce myself, meet your children and start my journey in partnering with you and your community to continue the rich and meaningful learning environment FES has created for students.
