    Outdoor Lion's Learning (OLL)

Francestown Elementary School has kicked off another year of Outdoor Lion's Learning. This week, we explored the fascinating world of squirrels. This year, our students will take on the role of citizen scientists, logging important data to support scientific research worldwide. Each student found a special spot in nature where they will return throughout the year to observe and document their findings. This hands-on experience helps deepen their connection with nature and contributes to real-world scientific studies.

FES Begins A Month Long Celebration of Literacy

To celebrate a month of literacy, we are excited to be reading the same book in every class. On Friday, the entire school came together to read the first chapter of Brambleheart by Henry Cole.
The story follows Twig, whose luck begins to change when he discovers a mysterious egg that hatches into Char, a talented and loyal dragon. Together, Twig and Char create incredible metalwork projects, though Twig keeps Char’s help a secret from everyone except his friend Lily. Twig passes off the stunning work as his own, but his plan unravels when the town bully, a weasel named Basil, uncovers the truth. Char is taken from Twig and locked away.
“Find your heart. You’ll do the right thing.”
